BILLET MIRRORS
|
Product Overview:
| We've all seen these mirrors on countless vehicles. You probably never knew who actually made them until now. At least that was the case until I saw the Machine Trix booth at the 2006 Costa Mesa sand sports show. Although we were unable to talk with Gary at the show we picked up a flyer and business card to contact him later about some mirrors for our Rhino.
These mirrors can be seen in the dunes on buggies, at the desert races on trophy trucks and truggys, and maybe soon we'll start seeing them hit the rock-crawling market as well. Machine Trix is now offering these beefy billet side mirrors in a slightly less overkill model that works great for smaller applications like Rhino's. The machined mount is designed to clamp directly onto the Rhino roll-cage and sports all the great features as its big brother. These Mirrors are sold on other sites for upwards of $495 but can be purchased from Machine Trix directly for about half the price.

| Installing the side mirrors was pretty straight forward. As seen in the pictures below the mirrors have directional settings that allow you to dial in the right angle for your mounting. In addition this unique mounting style prevents the mirror from being able to vibrate loose and move under extreme conditions or constant bouncing from rough riding. In the event that your mirror breaks from a roll over or crash the mirror assembly itself can be replaced in a matter of minutes.
We debated on the location for our mirrors and determined that the best spot would be just below eye level and just above dash height. See pictures below to see where we mounted our mirrors.

Conclusion:
| The best part about these mirrors is you can now see behind you without turning your head, Seems logical enough. I actually took it for granted but later found my self constantly looking back both dune riding and trail blazing. For safety precautions I like to look back before making a sharp turn in the dunes. With the side mirrors I can take a quick glance and still focus on the direction im traveling without taking my eyes off the road for more than a second. You never know when a built buggy might be flying up behind you looking to leave you in his dust. For us not the case, its more about looking back to make sure our friends can keep up. :)
Machine Trix builds there mirrors from high quality billet aluminum so not only do they look bad ass they are very strong and durable as well. For more information call or e-mail Gary and eliminate that expensive middle man.
