Product Overview:
Ib Racing introduces there new Stainless Steel Grill Inserts for 2004-2007 Yamaha Rhino's. We were fortunate enough to install one on our new Project "Rhino" we recently introduced. What a difference a billet style grill makes on our rhino's appearance. Definitely adds a little bling! These grill inserts are available in 3 styles as shown below.
These grill inserts are straight forward and easy to install. It took us about 20 minutes to get the grill inserts in place and everything back together. We started by removing the hood to make it easier to reach the grill. There are several small tabs that retain the plastic grill to the hood. In addition there are 4 small bolts that have to be removed for the grill will separate from the hood. We removed all the pins so that we can slide the grill inserts into place. First we needed to remove the yamaha logo on the center plastic grill so you don't see it coming through the new grill.
Next it was time to insert the new stainless grills. There are two sides to the grills. Its pretty easy to figure out which one looks better and put that side out. We also took into consideration that the factory grill has a small bend along it which we copied onto the new grills. Not sure if this is necessary but it seemed like they fit better. The idea is to place the grill inserts perfectly between the plastic factory grill and the hood. These stainless steel grill have small tabs around the edges that set up against the hood itself to keep the grill inserts from moving. We then clip half of the grill retaining clips back onto the grill to secure the grill to the hood. See pictures below.

Stainless Steel Grill Insert with Star. Notice the small tabs that retain the grill from moving in the hood. Very well made and designed inserts. The fit was perfect and the stainless steel will look great for the life of the Rhino. |

These are the pins and bolts that have to be removed in order to pull the factory plastic grill and light bezel from the hood. I noticed these clips come out pretty easy with a small flathead screw driver and a pair of needle nose pliers with a easy touch so you don't damage the plastic pins. |

Look close at this picture as you can see the new stainless steel grill inserts aligned in the grill and all the hood pins and bolts are re-secured. In this picture the hood has been re-attached to the Rhino and installation is near complete. |
