2005 Special Edition Wrangler
Project Willys starts with a limited edition wrangler TJ model that Jeep only produced so many of in 04 & 05. Considered a limited edition model because there are only a 2k made each year. With a little hunting around in Southern California we were lucky enough to find one to buy new from the Dealer. What makes the willy's unique is the features and badging. Some of the special features include factory camo seats with dark moss green interior, soft top, fenders flares, wheels, rocker panels, and anything else you could imagine came in dark moss green. The badging Jeep decided to use replicates some of the logo's you'd find on the original willy's military Jeeps. A star on the hood, ID tag along the side of the hood, "fuel" over the gas filler, and the willys logo on the side panels. Check out the photo's below to see more.
Our objective with this project vehicle is to build a more medium based off road and rock crawl ready Jeep. Capable of advanced trails with daily driver reliability being the key aspect. The majority of our readers use there Jeeps off road and for daily use so we'd like to do the same showing how we use our daily driver for rock crawling and all around offroading.
