Introduction
Another great product by MFS besides there dip stick extension is this new A-Pillar light mount they recently introduced to there product line. Constructed from aluminum with a unique and surprisingly strong stainless steel strap makes for a simple and clean light mount. One of the benefits to this mount over a full aluminum tube clamp style mount is the sleek design that allows no interferance with other a-pillar mounted items such as a windshield. These mounts are currently available in a polished and black anodized finish. Read on as we show you how these light mounts install.

Installation
The install on these mounts was quick and easy. The stainless steel strap wraps around the a-pillar 1 3/4" tube overlapping itself in position. Holding itself in place with a slide over and secure design you can at this point carefully straighten or make some changes to mount placement before attaching the aluminum piece. Once we were satisfied with the position of the strap we placed the machined aluminum piece onto the strap then secured in place with an allen head bolt that attaches to the threaded insert on the strap. This design pulls the strap tighter into the aluminum mount in turn securing the light mount against the tube.
The mounts took about 5-minutes total to install both sides. Next we just had to relocate our previously mounted PIAA HID Lights. Securing them to the mount was achieved with one bolt through the center of the PIAA mount. See the pictures below to see how the lights look on these mounts.

Conclusion
This was never disclosed during our build-up but the first change we made to Project Rhino was some makeshift a-pillar light mounts to hold a pair of Hella 500's. Needless to say they worked fairly well but didn't look nearly as clean as these mounts so they were discarded a while ago. Its nice to have our lights back up on the a-pillar as they seem to work a little better up there as apposed to the bumper. We've actually thought of a few other purposes we could use these mounts for in the future. One example is mounting a camera on the mount with the assistance of some simple brackets or camera hardware. We'll have to play with this idea and if all works out as planned we'll pick up another mount from MFS. In conclusion, these mounts worked out great for mounting our new HID lights. I think we can agree they look awesome as well. And the sleek custom look really adds a custom touch to our Rhino. We'll later show you how these light mounts have no affect on mounting a windshield when ours arrives.
